The 2nd Annual Memorial Motorcycle Ride for Lt. Bob Cabral was held on June 2, 2007. Bob was a police officer in the Town of Swansea and dedicated his life the the youth of that town, specializing in the DARE program. He was a coach, friend, father, truly someone everyone could look up to or confide in. Anyone who had the honor to know Bob was deeply saddened and shocked by his untimely Line of Duty Death on November 5, 2005.

The Memorial Motorcycle Ride for Bob began at Case High School. From there we proceeded down Rte. 6 into Rehoboth then back into Swansea and out to Rte. 103 into Warren, RI and ended at the Pavillion near the Kickimuit Middle School. There was food, live entertainment, raffles, and plenty of friends. This was an alcohol- free event.

T-shirts were sold with a picture of Officer Bob and a list of sponsors who donated $200 or more. If you would like to participate in the ride, donate your time, or become a sponsor, for next year please contact me at the information listed below.  The proceeds from this event was to benefit a few things, including but not limited to Bob's Soccer Field, which Bob donated so much time to, a scholarship fund in Bob’s name, and to continue helping the youth of Swansea.  With your help, we can make this a successful and yearly event.

Thank you for your time.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
